Yesterday Anime in the UK was lucky enough to be invited to the gundam base london preview event to get a exclusive look inside, located in Camden town market place just 2 doors down from the bandai namco cross store the UK first ever official gundam store is set to be here until March 31st next year so a 7 months run.

Me and my camrea man excitedly waited in line for the event to start with many other members of gundam press and fans 5pm hit and we was let in the first thing I spotted for a statue of the classic 78-2 but this time deck in gundam base dark blue

It’s wonderful to see a other cool gundam

Now onto me and my camrea man was here for Gunpla shopping and taking a look at the exclusives gundam kits the gundam Base london had to offer and boy bandai did not let’s up down with kits from all grades likes SD model all the way up to masters grades, we headed over to the gundam base exclusive sleeve to be greeted with a huge selection including many classic kits but now with the gundam base clours this includes SD models haro gunpla, with some lovely exclusive from witch from mercury wing seed unicorn just to name a few, also on display was the kits for sale to show how they will look like fully built helping you make that financial decision (that you never recover from)

Also for sale for a gundam freedom from the new SD master grade a new grade with the art style of SD Gundam but a master grade built it’s nice to see bandai expanding there range of kits.

Next we moved onto the non exclusive gunpla with everything from entry grade all the way up to Masters with more gundam on display they had a huge selection of my favourite the SD range but I already owned all the kits I wanted, I was happy about that as I had just spent a lot of exclusive kits so I have not made myself bankrupt… yet.

After this we moved onto the other section the non model kit area first off was a area for gundam building tools and gundam building accessories with a lovely selection of nippers, I ended up picking up a deluxe kit with some extra accessories to help you when you mess up your build which I had been meaning to pick up for some time. They also had cutting mat available with different gundam series, some gundam pens and note books just like the cross store have been stocking and even some gundam seed freedom stands sadly no lacus. Also a lovely range of gundam base including an exclusive gundam base … Base.

The gundam base base

Next to this was a lovely range of gundam tamashii nations from the well known tamashii nations figures range, for you people who don’t want to spend hours making models or myself who just isn’t great at it.

Next up was the last area before the till the gundam card game area my camrea man was super excited to vist this area as he really into the card game they had a lovely selection of products hard to find anywhere eles including gundam base set packs my camrea man treated himself to a full box and a exclusive deck box that had 2 promo cards inside one been the lovely Lacus from gundam seed they also Lacus card sleeve making this the only area of the store to have any Lacus mech.

Over all the Gundam Base Pop-Up London is a huge success with a lot of reasons to vist, pricing was super fair especially on the gundam base exclusive kits what was great to see, also talking with the staff they hoping to get more exclusive throw out the 7 months runn meaning more reason to go to the store my only small complaint was there was not a lot of Gundam Quxx kits available with gundam base currently only stocking 2 and the kit I was looking for wasn’t one of them do fully understand as the show is new so hopefully will get more in stock over the 7 months run.

One of the best things about the gundam base is the freebies buy anything from the gundam base and get a free exclusive promo card from the gundam card game, spend £30 and get one of 7 pins each month will be a new pin of you get all 7 and show them at the end you will get a prize, spend £50 and get a super lovely reusable gundam base london bag that i now will be using every where I go this is lovely to see and a great way to get fans to keep coming back.

If you are a gundam fan on any level the gundam base london is a must and will be running untill the 31st March you can find the gundam base pop-up london at this address
