With Death note the muscial heading to london this summer to the Barbican Theatre for a 6 week run, today we got the first look at the leading men, with Xander Pang (MacBeth, Beyond Paradise, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical) as Light Yagami and Colin Ryan(Hamlet, My Brilliant Friend, The Lightning Child, RSC’s Wendy and Peter Pan) as fan favourite L

Pang on been cast as Light “I cannot explain how excited I am to be playing Light in this totally unique musical and look forward to showing London audiences the wonder of Death Note. To bring this show to the iconic Barbican Theatre is an unbelievable honour, and I can’t wait to share this stage and story with such an amazing team, and with everyone who comes to see it!”

Ryan on been casted as L “Death Note is truly iconic, so I’m incredibly excited and proud to be stepping into the mind of L. I can’t wait to help bring this production to life at the Barbican this summer.”

The musical version of the classic anime Death note will hit the Barbican from 30th july to the 12th september for a run of 50 performances. Base on the manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata this will be the 2nd time Death Note: The Musical had a run in london after a short run in 2023 as Death Note The Musical in Concert.
