Its that time of year again the biggest show in the uk Mcm comic con and anime in the uk was there to check out what anime goodness we have in-store, taking place at the ExCeL Centre since 2002 Mcm comic con has grown to become the biggest comic con here in the uk, there was a lot to see in the 3 day event and here is some of the highlights of the event

We starting our reports with anime limited one of the biggest distributors of anime here in the uk sadly they did not bring a guest along this time but we did see a retrun of the industry panel that had been missed, lets take a look at anime limted stall before we look at the industry panel

Anime limted

anime limited had a stall of new and old releases from blu ray and dvd to vinyl and cd copies of the new re-release of angel egg 4k sold out in record time, I ended up picking up a copy of violet evergarden the movie that was on sale for only £10 was also nice to see anime limted re-release of Laika library ready for wildwood cinema release and both Jim Henson classic labyrinth and dark crystal also available showing anime limted is growing there catalogue of releases.

Godzilla took up a big part of anime limited stall with hype for Godzilla minus zero hitting UK cinemas from november 3rd with the movie full UK rollout on November 6th there was also free movie poster give away for anyone who came to the stall

there was also promise of more Godzilla coming soon sadly there wasn’t much detail but would be nice to see more godzilla stuff here in the uk and more releases of classic Godzilla film. I did stop for a catch with the staff and there have some really excited stuff plan for 2027 that they hope will be revealed in the next few months.

Now to the anime limited panel on Sunday with a lot of announcements Choa would be coming to UK cinema December 4th naruto the last will be getting a UK cinema release january 10th and a huge naruto movie marathon event planed for january 9th with the other 9 naruto movies its great to see the naruto movie get a UK cinema release at last as all 10 movie cinema release was skipped here in the UK outside of a few one of showing of the first movie at special one off event

There was also a promise of most Studio Ghibli cinema releases in 2027 and and the new Blu-rays to start hitting stores from next months sadly none of the box art was shown off but looking forward to seeing what anime limited bring to the table with there new releases

we also be getting ninja scroll 4k,ghost and julian from cartoon saloon in uk cinema at some point in 2027 great to see a lot of anime hitting the big screen and Julian will hopeful bring a lot of new eyes onto anime limited

Now to the home media releases

We start with bleach and the great news that the last few set 10 throw 13 of the classic anime will be hitting the uk in 2027, anime limted apologise for the long between releases and told bleach fans they had not forgotten about them.

talking about long waits between releases we aslo got new that the rest of inuyasha will be hitting the uk at long last with season 3 to 6 hitting in 2027 this is great news as inuyasha has been a bit unfortunately cursed with its UK releases in the past and nice to here that now we will be getting a faster releases between sets.

We also got a first look at the Sakamoto Days part 2 collectors edition and oshi no ko part 1 will also be hitting blu-ray in 2027

Next up was all the new IP anime limited has picked up staring with a 4k remaster of the anthology film Memories great to see anime limited putting classic out for a new crowd to find

As for new anime releases we got princess connect re dive, Mashle: Magic and Muscles,SK8 the Infinity and Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song all getting collector editions heading to the uk also banana fish will be hitting blu-ray not just for the uk but the usa as well and don’t worry there will be no AI english dub and the new real actors english dub will be the one included.

The last announcement was at long last we getting macross frontier on Blu-ray at long last this is going to be a huge release with both the anime and movies coming Blu-ray we have waited such a long time for frontier to hit home media outside of japan due to years of harmony gold sitting on the non japan rights and not doing anything with them, its great to see more macross release outside of zero at long last.

So overall a very strong showing from anime limited a bit sad we did not get a anime guest but understand that takes a lot of work and with some guest at Scotland love anime next month to make up for it, great to see a mix of new shows, shows that new had UK release and remaster of classic that have been long out of print. With the studio ghibli licence via Gkids and the Toho buy out last year its going to be interesting to see how anime limited grows in the next few years and already looking foward to fun event like the naruto movie marathon the future looks bright for anime limited.
